Week 10 March 26th-30th Hours: 17

Monday morning was spent compiling the animated portion of the promo video with a clip from the Rez Week 2012 speaker, Trent Sheppard.  I learned to effectively edit and mix a/v in respective programs such as AE and Premiere.  I finally uploaded it onto Youtube for the public and it’s posted on the FB event page.
I took photographs to document and oversaw a/v recording of the events tonight.  Every night spent taking photos were really valuable experiences for me as I learn to discern when the most opportune and most respectful time to take pictures in front and behind the stage.  I’ve gotten better at choosing certain time periods throughout the event to document.  The limited times have challenged me to excel in taking good photos. I also had an abundant amount of practice to use my camera.  The event is held in front of the Gregory Plaza; hundreds of students plus faculties came out the first night.  I helped tear down a/v equipment and the large monitor screen as the night drew close.
Earlier in the evening when the event just started, we left our on board microphone back at the CHOP so I was asked to retrieve it.  I had just come back from West Campus about 10 minutes before.  I’m more convinced that my love of working here isn’t only because of the skills but largely due to how it enables me to realize what my heart is like behind the scenes, behind all the glamour and knowledge.  And to have the joy of knowing that God sees every little thing and therefore it counts!
I manned the main camera in the center back of the plaza that oversees all of the stage.   I sat for two hours recording while also participating in the worship and message.  Thursday and Friday morning/afternoon I took pictures of day events such as lunch and coffee house performances.
